Encasement

Encasement means the partial or complete coverage of the body in solid objects. Preventing the movement of the victims, Sometime also causing the complete isolation. It’s common to see the use of solid cement, or plastic or hard rubber, silk and spiderweb to secure the victims in place.

The most common forms of encasement are:

  • Blocking: Partially or completely trapped inside a block of a solid material
  • Mummification/Cocooning: Wrapped in bandages, silk, spiderwebs or other fabrics; forcing the character in a compact position, leaving only the character's silhouette visible.

When the fabrics have distinctive patterns that can be associated to certain role it is considered as Costumed
